Mass notification expert to teach course at InfoComm08

Experts to teach "Mass Notification" course for NSCA University students

SARASOTA, Fla., June 11, 2008 – Mass Notification System (MNS) expert David Drescher will educate system professionals seeking continuing education credit about MNS solutions for NSCA (National System Contractors Association) University at InfoComm08, 12:30-4:30 p.m., Friday, June 20, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Drescher, General Manager, Personal and Regional Alerting platform, and founder of Roam Secure, will co-instruct a four-hour session, "Mass Notification." Roam Secure, based in Arlington, Va., was acquired by Cooper Notification in December 2007. Joining Drescher to teach the course is Alan Avidan, Ph.D., world-expert on anti-terrorism alerting systems and founder of MadahCom, the Sarasota, Fla.-based MNS company acquired by Cooper Notification in April 2007. Avidan is currently the president of OzVision Global, Inc., which develops and markets cost-effective advanced remote video services for alarm verification and business management using the Internet and PSTN lines.

The course will educate participants about what mass notification means, the MNS components and technologies available in the marketplace, how each MNS component works together and how to design a comprehensive multi-layered system.

Participants will earn four Learning Units towards the Certificate of Completion from NSCA University for attending the "Mass Notification" course. Participants must complete 24 Learning Units at a variety of levels within one of NSCA's six colleges over a three-year period to apply for a Certificate of Completion.
