Companies partner for comprehensive access control solution

Secaucus, NJ – Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA), has announced an integrated access control solution to further support the company’s recently implemented open infrastructure initiative. The WJ-HD300A Series DVRs can now be integrated with access control software solutions from IDenticard Systems – a leading producer of biometric identification and access control systems – to provide systems applications on the enterprise level.

“Panasonic’s WJ-HD300A Series DVRs have gained industry recognition for their performance, reliability and versatility in advanced networked applications. By partnering with market-leading access control solution providers such as IDenticard, we can facilitate an even greater range of sophisticated network-based applications employing Intelligent Technology,” said Paul Robinson, Product Marketing Manager – Recording Solutions, Panasonic Security Systems. “We look forward to working with IDenticard in support of our new corporate philosophy aimed at building strategic alliances across the professional electronics industry.”

"Panasonic’s integration with IDenticard’s IDentiPASS™ and IDentiPASS PLUS access control solutions allows video to be accessed and monitored from any remote location using a standard web browser via the Internet,” said Aaron Henderson, Product Development Manager, IDenticard Systems. The system can be programmed to call, e-mail and/or page security personnel in the event of an alarm condition of any set of predetermined parameters. Multiple users can view live streaming video or event-based video with remote control of PTZ cameras connected to the WJ-HD300A Series DVRs.

Panasonic’s open infrastructure initiative was launched last year to further enhance the company’s systems integration capabilities by establishing a higher level of cooperation between this leading manufacturer of video surveillance systems equipment and complementary specialized manufacturers and systems integrators. “By adopting this strategic initiative, Panasonic can better serve the needs of a wide audience of security professionals and end users,” said Paul Robinson.
