Mitsubishi combines state-of-art CCTV technology and comprehensive training tool—making the best technology now also the easiest to operate effectively.

2007 ISC West Expo — LAS VEGAS, Nevada, March 30, 2007 —Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Imaging Products Division today unveiled a new training CD for its DX-TL5000U and DX-TL4500 Series Digital Video Recorders that combine advanced recording and management capabilities with a low learning curve. The training CD provides step-by-step instructions featuring a visually appealing easily-to-follow format that can be used by installers and end-users alike. Now more than ever DVR technology can be used efficiently by even the least technically inclined, making the DX-TL5000U and DX-TL4500 Series ideal for a wide array of enterprise-level applications.

“In any business where labor turnover is high or there is a seasonal element to staffing, training can be one of the biggest and most repetitive challenges that a business owner or manager can face,” explained Jeff Kiuchi, product specialist, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America Imaging Products. “Combine this with the application of advanced digital technologies and the problem becomes quite apparent. Mitsubishi tackles this issue on two fronts: first to make our DX-TL5000U and DX-TL4500 Series easier to use than any other product in its class, and second, to supply the training CD which can bring anyone up to speed in very short period of time.”

Based on the Discourse software system developed by Ideal Conditions Inc., the training CD features multimedia capabilities that provide users with interactive step-by-step instructions on installation, setup and use of the DX-TL5000U and DX-TL4500 Series. The Discourse software system organizes information in a simple, user-friendly multimedia format featuring video clips and audio effects, resulting in a highly intuitive training course for installers and end-users to learn at their own pace.

Both the DX-TL5000U and DX-TL4500 Series come with an industry-leading, five-year limited warranty. With breakthrough features such as 16 video inputs and speeds of 960 pictures per second live and 240 PPS recorded, the DX-TL5000U is designed to provide state-of-the art performance and the highest levels of reliability for an enterprise class security application. Offering high-speed live and recorded images, the DX-TL5000U provides flexibility to expand recording depending on the requirements of the security operation. The DX-TL4500 Series includes the 16-channel DX-TL4516U and the nine-channel DX-TL4509U. Both units feature CD/DVD drive, motion detection and JPEG 2000 compression, and are ideally suited for 24/7 digital video surveillance in a wide array of applications where quality video performance and reliability are required.
