New Products Offer Control, Cost Performance and Imaging Superiority

Las Vegas, NV (March 28, 2007) – As the trend toward networked systems grows, along with IT management’s influence in determining security systems configurations, Panasonic continues to fortify its leadership position in the video surveillance market with new introductions to its line of i-Pro intelligent and professional IP-based system solutions.

This year at ISC West, Panasonic Security Systems is adding several new i-Pro products, including the i-Pro WV-NW484S vandal-proof network dome camera, the i-Pro WV-ASM100 system management and control software solution, and the i-Pro WJ-ND300A network video recorder.

"With all the benefits afforded by IP-based systems, users will continue to migrate towards networking their security needs,” said Frank DeFina, President, Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA). “Panasonic's additions to our i-Pro line demonstrate our ongoing commitment to provide complete endpoint solutions for networked systems.”

Panasonic’s i-Pro Series can facilitate the transition to a networked environment, with easy integration into new and existing analog and digital installations. The i-Pro Series includes PTZ, vandal-proof, fixed, and mini-dome cameras, network video recorders, video servers and more.

New introductions to Panasonic’s i-Pro Series include:

i-Pro WV-NW484S vandal-proof network dome camera featuring the industry’s first built-in anti-shock Auto Back Focus (ABF) to ensure perfect focus when switching from color to black and white, reducing manual intervention during and after installation. Panasonic's core Super Dynamic III (SDIII) technology provides 128x dynamic range for accurate image reproduction in any light. Other features include Power over Ethernet (PoE), progressive output for smooth images of moving objects and superb color reproduction, digital motion detection and automatic Day/Night switching for 24-hour monitoring.

i-Pro WV-ASM100 network management solution controls up to 100 Panasonic recorders to deliver instant access to data. The software enables live viewing with comprehensive control of Panasonic PTZ systems and IP cameras from select manufacturers and will soon also be able to integrate analog products. The WV-ASM100’s advanced system software also features joystick controller capability with the optional WV-CU950, an easy to use GUI for convenient and intuitive operation, and can be configured with multiple displays to simultaneously view selected spot cameras, facility maps and quad camera displays.

i-Pro WJ-ND300A network video recorder is designed for mid to large applications and is an enhanced version of the i-Pro WJ-ND300. With many of the same features as its predecessor, the WJ-ND300A offers higher network performance through an increased CPU speed to 1 GHz, reflecting a 30% wider bandwidth, 32-camera real-time recording at MPEG-4, and 16-camera 10 ips recording at MJPEG. The “A” model also supports a 500 GB HDD (2 TB / unit), preset registration up to 256 positions, and camera auto mode (auto tracking, auto pan, preset sequence, sort, patrol play).
