Honeywell's New Indoor Color Dome Cameras

Sept. 18, 2006
HD3VC4SHR and HD3VC4SA models offer enhanced features, simple installation

LOUISVILLE, Ky., September 18, 2006 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today introduced the HD3VC4SHR and HD3VC4SA, two color dome cameras for indoor use. Both cameras encompass the latest in color Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, which ensures a crisp, clear, high-quality image. With 540 TV lines of resolution, the HD3VC4SHR satisfies the need for improved image sharpness and picture contrast.

Both the high resolution HD3VC4SHR and the standard resolution HD3VC4SA integrate a camera and lens into a single enclosure for round-the-clock surveillance. The compact, one-piece design of the camera and lens housing is designed to mount directly to a ceiling, wall, or to a 2S single gang electrical box to enable fast and easy installation. The 3-dimensional gimbal provides easy picture adjustment with 360 degrees of pan, 160 degrees of tilt, and 360 degrees of horizontal resolution.

The cameras accept 12 VDC and 24 VAC for proper operation and flexible installation, and a service/monitor cable is included for easy on-site adjustments.

“The addition of the HD3VC4SHR and HD3VC4SA cameras to our product line allows us to enhance our existing HD3 lines with more features and options at no additional cost to our customers,” said Roberto Testani, product manager, Honeywell. “The introduction of an innovative

3-D gimbal and the availability of 540 TV lines of resolution in a small and stylish dome are great enhancements to our existing HD3 line.”

Both the HD3VC4SHR and HD3VC4SA have Automatic Backlight Compensation (BLC) and Auto Tracking White Balance (ATW) that ensures crisp color images in dark or backlit environments such as windows or doorways. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) increases the signal strength from the camera when scene lighting is low, and keeps the picture sharp and viewable.

Enhanced picture quality, true color reproduction, and excellent low light performance make the HD3 cameras an ideal solution for a wide range of surveillance applications including commercial and government sites, schools, casinos, retail stores, and hospitals.

Honeywell will demonstrate the HD3 Series cameras at ASIS International 2006 this month. For more information, visit www.honeywellvideo.com.
