videoNEXT announced Monday that it has received Lenel factory certification for an interface between its Security Knowledge Manager (SKM) software and the OnGuard security platform by Lenel. videoNEXT is a developer of innovative physical security information management (PSIM) solutions, and a member of the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program. The interface it developed enables new or existing Lenel customers to leverage their access control investment into videoNEXT's enterprise-class video solution.
"Lenel is a market leader in access control and represents a significant percentage of the installed global customer base," said Joseph Costa, videoNEXT's CEO. "With the integration of our SKM solution there is now a capable and cost-effective option for enterprise video and access control integration available to a major sector of the market, where prior choices were very limited. Additionally, the Lenel integration takes the level of our information management capabilities one step further giving SKM users even more actionable intelligence in the secure enterprise."
"videoNEXT has completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard. We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program," said Raffaele Ceravolo, director of strategic alliances for Lenel.
videoNEXT's SKM is an open, standards-based software solution that works with almost any IP, digital or analog camera, runs on any Intel or compatible server and uses an organization's existing security and data infrastructure in new and powerful ways. It provides the easiest and most scalable IP surveillance and physical security information management solution available today. Combining this with full policy-level administration and its unique flexible high availability Storage Volume Manager -- organizations now have a highly capable, powerful, scalable and easy-to-use physical security information management tool that truly synchronizes security.
OnGuard is Lenel's flagship security platform. It seamlessly integrates a full suite of security management functions and technologies using an open architecture design. OnGuard offers access control, ID credential issuance and management, alarm monitoring, digital video surveillance and management, real-time digital video content analysis, intelligent audio, integration of biometric technologies, intrusion detection, visitor management and smart card functionality, plus integration with a multitude of third party systems. Individual application modules are available as stand-alone systems, or can be deployed in any combination to deliver a single, integrated solution that uniquely satisfies each customer's particular needs.
