Matrox Introduces Hardware MPEG solution for Large Scale Visualization

Steaming media decoder helps create large-scale visual systems for command and control centers

What's happening: At ASIS 2007, Matrox Graphics will demonstrate its new Streaming Media Decoder (SMD), a complimentary product to its line of display wall controller boards. The SMD provides the ability to decode and display various streaming formats in real time.

Matrox input and output display wall controller boards will be driving a wall of 16 displays. Other demonstrations will feature Matrox ExtioT, the world's first fully integrated remote graphics unit (RGU) enabling the extension of up to four displays, audio and six USB devices by up to 820 feet of fiber-optic cable, and IP-based video surveillance software from JDS Digital Security Systems.
