Las Vegas, NV (April 5, 2006) – Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA), is displaying a new line of economical IP-based video monitoring products here at ISCW 2006 to supplement the company’s i-Pro Series of intelligent and professional IP video surveillance systems products. The new cameras offer a cost-efficient solution for second-tier applications such as monitoring components, and provide new market opportunities for home office and small business applications that require Panasonic quality and performance.

"We are pleased to provide an economical solution for integrating monitoring capabilities into environments where professional users might not have been able to implement this performance level of security. It also provides our reseller partners with additional market opportunities in the high-end residential security market," said Miguel Lazatin, Product Marketing Manager – Cameras, Panasonic Security Systems.

Users can install a complete and comprehensive system using the new line of components, or add a second level of integrated monitoring to an existing professional system. In keeping with Panasonic's open system solution supported by i-Pro Series IP products, these new network cameras can be viewed and controlled from any standard web browser, PDA, cell phone or other networked communications device.

"We are committed to developing a seamless open systems solution with all of the video surveillance products required to fit every niche application,” said Lazatin. "All of Panasonic's IP-based cameras and components follow this open path to deliver high performance and complete transparency all along the network infrastructure."

The addition of this new line of economical IP products further reinforces Panasonic's ongoing theme, "we get IT!", Information Technology and Intelligent Technology. "We recognize the evolving needs of the security market," said Lazatin. "Panasonic will continue to offer products that meet these needs at every level, all with the quality inherent in the Panasonic name."
