Company increases warranty from one year to three year on video servers and most network cameras
CHELMSFORD, Mass. – (March 15, 2007) – Axis Communications, the global leader in the network video market, announced today that it has increased the warranty period on its network video products from one year to three years. The new hardware warranty applies to purchases made since January 1, 2007. It is applicable to all Axis video servers and network cameras except for the AXIS 206 and AXIS 207 family of network camera products.

The warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for a period of three years from the date of purchase. Axis will replace a defective product under warranty at no cost to the customer through it’s Return Material Authorization (RMA) process.

"This extended warranty strengthens the value of our network camera offering in the professional surveillance market," said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager of Axis Communications. "Axis provides very high quality products and our brand has always been synonymous with high quality. This new warranty will enable us to stand by our products and provide customers with trouble-free ownership and lower total cost of ownership."

Axis also offers an industry-leading advance replacement policy for all resellers and system integrators in the Axis Channel Partner Program. Under the program, replacement units will be shipped out immediately before the faulty unit has been returned, reducing downtime in mission critical installations. The program enables greater efficiencies to system integrators that service Axis customers, many of whom are large enterprises and government entities.
