HPS3PM and HPS5PM power supply series offer protected outputs, monitored power

NORTHFORD, CT — Honeywell Power Products announces it has launched a new line of power supplies designed to solve power availability problems for expanding intrusion alarm systems. Honeywell’s HPS3PM and HPS5PM Series provide newly-added security devices with the power necessary to secure life and property.

A common dilemma for security system installers is inadequate power availability in the alarm panel to support the many devices used in a modern installation or security system upgrade. Honeywell’s new power monitored supplies allow installers to easily integrate additional wired devices like door contacts, motion sensors, keypads and other intrusion accessories. Power monitoring enables the alarm panel to supervise the power supply and send out notification (typically to a central station) if abnormal operation is detected.

With several models to choose from, installers can select the right combination of power supply components, packaged individually or bundled together. The HPS3PM series provides a full three amps of power, while the HPS5PM Series delivers a full four amps. To protect each circuit from over-current damage, power is routed to four-, eight- or sixteen-fused or circuit breaker-style (PTC) protected outputs (dependent on model).

These products offer installers the benefits of faster installations and speedy troubleshooting with features such as LED diagnostics, power-disconnect switches and larger enclosures. What’s more, all Honeywell Power Products’ supplies are factory tested and come with a life-time warranty.
