Toshiba Unveils IK-DP30A Speed Dome

IRVINE, CA - Responding to the requirements of security system installers, Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video, a leading supplier of video surveillance solutions, today introduced its new IK-DP30A speed dome with a quick connect "snap in" dome drive for faster, most cost-cost efficient CCTV with minimal connections.

Optimized to track activity with its 360 degree continuous pan rotation, variable speed scans and 92 degree tilt, this camera is for use across a wide range of security applications, including retail, schools and casinos where it is a constant anti-crime presence.

Although compact, the IK-DP30A is feature-rich and fully programmable with 64 presets and RS-422 connectivity. Taking advantage of advances in imaging technology, it is also IR Sensitive with day/night capabilities effective down to a .01 Lux for detailed, accurate images in extreme lighting conditions. Other performance enhancing features include 480-line horizontal resolution with natural color reproduction, 216X Zoom (18x optical, 12x digital), a DVR-friendly 50dB signal-to-noise ratio, and telecom-grade surge arrestor technology for unbeatable reliability.

The IK-DP30A is available with a wide selection of customer options. In-ceiling and pendant housings are offered with clear or tinted glass and an optional heater/blower, plus there are many mounting brackets and adapters to choose from to meet application needs. It is backed by a three-year warranty.

The IK-DP30A is Toshiba's first dome camera to be RoHS compliant, meeting the European Parliament Directive entitled "Restrictions on the use Of Hazardous Substances" (RoHS). This Directive prohibits the use of thefollowing elements in electrical/electronic equipment sold after 7/1/2006: cadmium, lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBBs and polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
