Cross Match Parts with Hyundai to Deliver Automated Fingerprint Identifaction

Strategic alliance to support the nationwide criminal record information systems

Palm Beach Gardens, FL – Cross Match Technologies Inc., a global leader in providing high-quality interoperable biometric identity applications and solutions, today announced a strategic alliance with Hyundai Information Technology (HIT) to deliver an Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) and Live Scanners to South Korea.

It is expected that the partnership will significantly improve the Korean National Police Agency’s (KNPA) criminal investigation capabilities by providing a customized and cost effective solution to secure identification of fingerprints. As part of the offering Cross Match will provide Live Scan Systems to replace the old and deteriorated paper and ink based image acquisition tools to help the KNPA capture and store live fingerprint images. In addition, Hyundai Information Technology will provide an advanced AFIS to help the KNPA obtain real-time verification and identification of fingerprints in just seconds. Through this combined offering, the KNPA will be able to accurately and quickly transmit and identify fingerprint images to support its forensic, security and management processes.
