Monitors are specifically design for video/security applications, available in 15- and 17-inch sizes

Fairport, New York - Bosch Security Systems, a full-line manufacturer of high-quality security systems and components, has introduced two additions to its popular line of flat-panel LCD monitors: the MON172CL20 17-inch Color LCD Flat Panel Display Monitor and MON152CL30 15-inch Color LCD Flat Panel Display Monitor. Compact styling, including a three-inch LCD panel width, makes these color monitors ideal for large-screen, space-limited applications.

These state-of-the-art monitors, which feature an attractive, ergonomic design, are built to accommodate the increasing use of PCs and digital video devices in security applications by incorporating two looping composite video inputs, two looping audio inputs, one Y/C input, and an analog VGA/digital DVI input. To enhance the multi-input capability, a "picture-in-picture" function has been added, allowing any of the composite video or Y/C inputs to be inserted into each other, or into the VGA/DVI input display when operating in the VGA/DVI mode.

With a wide range viewing angle of 140° in the horizontal and 125° in the vertical direction (130° vertical for the 17-inch model), the units can be properly viewed whether they are installed on a desktop, wall mounted or rack mounted in a standard 19-inch EIA rack.

The 500 TVL resolution monitors consist of a color thin film transistor (TFT) active matrix LCD panel with 1024 by 768 pixels for the 15-inch model and 1280 by 1024 pixels for the 17-inch model. Users can adjust standard monitor display parameters via user-friendly on-screen menus (available in several languages), and front panel controls. For additional security, the monitors offer a front panel lockout feature that disables the front panel control buttons.

The LCD monitors offer several advantages over traditional CRT models. Bosch LCD monitors use long-life fluorescent backlights to maintain the brightness level over time, and reduce the typical brightness degradation. They also provide a sharp display that eliminates the annoying flicker prevalent in CRT monitors, increasing the service life of the LCD monitor and reducing user eyestrain. And the monitors consume 50 percent less power than conventional CRT monitors.

The flat-panel monitors are available through Bosch Certified Security Dealers, who can be found on the company's Web site at www.boschsecurity.us under the Dealer Locator link.
