Company's Altitude cameras offer dual video stream, top analog features in an IP format

Ridgefield Park, NJ - DVTel Inc., multiple award-winning market leader in integrated IP security solutions for surveillance and monitoring, today announced release of the new Altitude “no compromise” suite of professional grade network (IP) cameras.

Selecting a DVTel IP camera means end users no longer have to compromise on features or high-quality, real-time video for live monitoring or recording. DVTel Altitude cameras offer the freedom from compromise with the same quality and functionality of analog technology, while meeting or exceeding the performance specifications of today’s analog cameras. Altitude’s dual-stream encoding technology provides superior quality and performance with the most efficient network bandwidth and storage management. End users can now specify IP cameras over analog and be assured of the same features, functionality, and reliability—while gaining all the benefits of a true network based solution.

All cameras provide dual-stream MPEG-4 video at up to 4CIF resolution at 30 frames per second (fps) NTSC/ 25 fps PAL for independent viewing and recording requirements. The Altitude cameras offer significant total cost of ownership (TOC) savings over both analog by utilizing existing network infrastructure, reducing installation costs, enabling remote maintenance and upgrades and by requiring less bandwidth and storage. The Altitude line offers one more unique advantage: DVTel’s proprietary Adaptive Visualization Technology™ to power advanced, intelligent visual analytics.

DVTel’s security grade Altitude line of IP cameras is comprised of:

  • 9440 Series of Vandal Resistant Fixed Mini-Domes available with 540 TVL day/night CCD version or with 500+ TVL of Super Wide Dynamic Range CMOS
  • 9540 Series of color or Day/Night Super Wide Dynamic Range box style camera
  • 9840 PTZ Dome Series of color and Day/Night with up to 26x optical zoom capabilities.

Combined with the Latitude Digital Virtual Matrix Switcher, the cameras offer a fully digital replacement to aging analog cameras and matrix switcher controllers with an imbedded digital video recording functionality that eliminates the need to purchase a separate video recording system.

“The Altitude cameras join a growing list of DVTel components that are easy to specify, order, and install,” said Ed Thompson, DVTel CTO. “Our DVTel iSOC is one of the most reliable, powerful open platform systems, and now our customers can choose from one of the widest arrays of industry-leading IP cameras available. We continue to provide end users with the best, most comprehensive IP video solution possible.”
