International Code Council to Present Fire Prevention Institute

Fire Prevention Institute to address egress, hazardous materials, fire systems

The International Code Council (ICC), a body that has created some of the leading building and safety codes, announced Wednesday afternoon that it was pulling together resources to create a Fire Prevention Institute to be held this fall in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Fire Prevention Institute will address issues such as building egress, fire protection systems, combustible storage and hazardous materials, and is aimed for both inspectors and building safety/security managers. It will be held Oct. 23-26, IN Las Vegas. Users will be able to obtain continuing education units, AIA learning units and Health, Safety and Welfare credits by attending.

The institute is being co-sponsored by both the Southern Nevada Fire Prevention Association and the two Nevada Chapters of the International Code Council.
