Control panels manufacturer begins construction on facility to increase manufacturing and warehouse space

Springfield, Missouri — Digital Monitoring Products, one of the few U.S. providers of control panels made in the United States, has entered the next phase of a facilities expansion project designed to add 92,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space to its Springfield headquarters.

Following DMP’s 2005 building expansion, which increased working space for production, new-product development, and customer service by 40%, a 22,000-square-foot addition begins in July and is slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2006. A 70,000-square-foot final phase is scheduled for completion in 2009.

New facilities development reflects DMP’s focus on designing, building and testing products in the US while continuing to respond to increased demand for its products and services. According to DMP President and COO, Bill Jackson, the expansion mirrors the expanding market share for DMP’s network monitoring technologies and will support the company’s newest product lines. “We have seen strong growth in our IP-ready solutions throughout North and South America,” he said. “We continue to take advantage of our ability to move quickly—in the past year we have brought a complete line of two-way wireless products to the market, for example—and the new space will enable us to support our growth.”
