Mitsubishi Announces Five-Year Limited Warranty on Select DVRs

IRVINE, Calif., July 6, 2006 — Demonstrating continued commitment to the security market, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America today announced it will now offer an industry leading five-year limited warranty for digital video recorders on select new models. Effective immediately, the new DX-TL4516U DVR Series, DX-TL5000U Series and DX-ZD5UE Series will now be supported by a five-year limited warranty as well as the five-year Express Replacement Assistance (ERA) program.

Mitsubishi is also extending to five years its industry-renowned ERA program, which provides 24-hour replacement product in the event of specific system failure. “The time-sensitive ERA program is crucial in many security applications,” said Kiuchi. “This program takes the warranty one step further for standard models by guaranteeing the receipt of a replacement unit within one day of the claim – a valuable tool for the customer.”

The specific models covered by the five-year limited warranty program include the DX-TL4516U series from 250 gigabytes (GB) to one terabyte (TB), the DX-TL5000U series from 500 GB to two TB and the DX-ZD5UE from 500 GB to one TB.
