SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 20, 2006 Vidient Systems, Inc., a developer of behavior recognition and analysis software that detects security and safety breaches in real time, announced today the appointment of Todd Hauptli, senior executive vice president of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), to its Board of Advisors.

A prominent transportation advocate with over 20 years of experience in transportation policy, Mr. Hauptli is currently senior executive vice president of the AAAE, where he is responsible for managing that organization's interactions with Congress and Executive Branch agencies. Prior to joining AAAE, Hauptli served as a congressional relations officer handling aviation issues at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Earlier in his career, he was Associate Director of Cabinet Affairs for President Ronald Reagan, held various positions at the Department of Commerce, and worked on the staff of the House Republican Research committee.
Mr. Hauptli is also executive producer and co-anchor of Aviation News Today, a weekly half-hour television program.

Hauptli joins a distinguished group of advisors at Vidient that includes Admiral Steve Abbot, President & CEO, Navy Marine Corps Relief Society and former Acting Homeland Security Advisor to the President; Richard A. Clarke, Chairman of Good Harbor and former senior White House security advisor under several administrations; Takeo Kanade, a world-renowned researcher and professor of computer science and robotics at Carnegie Mellon University; and, Admiral David Stone, former Assistant Security of Homeland Security, Transportation Safety Administration (TSA).
