Background firm offers free information on screening process for HR, security, risk execs

EmployeescreenIQ, a Cleveland, Ohio-based firm that offers employee screening services, recently launched a subsection to its website with the goal of educating employers about employee screening.

The site, which is written for human resources staff as well as security and risk professionals, offers articles and news on common background screening issues. Topics of the site's approximately 30 company-authored articles include negligent referrals, defamation claims, and Social Security number traces, document disposal and more.

Of special interest on the site is that they have pulled together news that would affect HR execs, including legislative updates and court rulings on background screening issues. The site in some cases also links to reference tools where you can do things like check the validity of diplomas by using the Department of Education's accreditation lists.
