LOUISVILLE, Colo., March 5 -- Envysion Inc., a provider of web-based video management for surveillance and improved business processes, today announced that it has received a 2008 VON Magazine Innovator Award. The award recognizes innovative companies that represent the future of the Internet Communications industry. Envysion received the award for developing the innovative Envysion Video service, a Software-as-a-Service offering which enables people to view live and recorded video of multiple locations over the Internet using a single web browser interface.
"The VON Magazine Innovator Awards recognize the Internet Communications industry's best and brightest companies, and we're pleased to include Envysion as an inaugural winner," said Bill Sell, Publisher, VON Media Group. "VON Innovator Award recipients should take great pride in their accomplishments, because the selection committee unanimously felt that these companies stood apart from the large field of companies that participated in the nomination process."
Envysion Video enables organizations to improve security and operational efficiency across multiple locations by allowing authorized users to remotely access surveillance video via the web. The system is designed to be exceptionally easy to use and manage, transforming video surveillance into a strategic management tool used throughout an organization.
"As a true SaaS offering, Envysion Video is the first product to converge the full networking power of the Internet with the world of video surveillance, and we're delighted to be recognized for this innovation by VON Magazine," explained Matt Steinfort, CEO of Envysion. "With Envysion Video, we've addressed the industry's growing need for a service that is both scalable and easy to use. A lot of video companies today claim to be more than just surveillance, but if you can't use the video simply and easily across lots of locations without crushing your IT organization, you won't realize that additional value. As with most disruptive technologies, Envysion Video enables users to identify entirely new applications for video -- moving beyond traditional security and loss prevention functions and into other areas such as marketing, human resources, operations and training."
The VON Innovator Awards program is scheduled for Tuesday, March, 18 at the Spring VON.x Conference in San Jose, Calif.
