D7412GV2 and D9412GV2 panels meet newest U.S. fire regulatory requirements

FAIRPORT, N.Y. - Bosch Security Systems, Inc., a full-line manufacturer of high-quality security solutions, has met Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) 864 9th Edition requirements with its G Series Control Panels and has received approval for these panels to be installed in applications requiring 9th Edition fire approval. The listing validates the D7412GV2 and D9412GV2 Control Panels meet the newest fire regulatory requirements in the United States.

Products bearing the UL Mark have been evaluated against rigorous safety requirements developed by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., which serves as an independent, not-for-profit product safety testing and certification organization. UL 864 governs control units and accessories for fire alarm systems.

Meeting the requirements under UL 864 9th Edition reinforces Bosch’s reputation as a provider of equipment that consistently remains up-to-date with current revisions of the National Fire Alarm Code, NFPA 72. The listing provides Bosch dealers and distributors with expanded sales opportunities for the D7412GV2 and D9412GV2 Control Panels -- scaleable systems that fit in a variety of applications, including bank branches, commercial office space, manufacturing facilities and retail stores, among others.

Also announced today, a new G Series Control Panel accessory, the ICP-SDI-9114 SDI Splitter, allows fire and intrusion keypads to be mixed in the same system by providing two isolated serial digital interface (SDI) buses from a single connection on the control panel. By installing the SDI buses for fire and intrusion devices, the system can be installed as a combination control panel with full UL 864 9th edition compliance.

In addition, Bosch is releasing three keypads and an isolation module that are specifically designed for applications where UL 9th Edition fire approval is required. The D1255RB Fire Keypad allows the user to control the entire intrusion and fire alarm system from the full-function keypad. The D1256RB Fire Keypad provides simple control of the fire alarm system without requiring a passcode, and the D1257RB Fire Annunciator offers two-button silence and reset control without a passcode.
