Orlando, FL -- Checkpoint Systems, Inc., a leading provider of innovative access control solutions for professional security applications is exhibiting its highly successful Pinnacle 4.0 Access Control System with a new Integrated Mapping feature here at ASIS. Designed to complement Pinnacle’s SQL Database Management and System Partitioning functionality, the new feature integrates Pinnacle’s user permission and database schemes to create a more intelligent and effective method to manage data from security data collection components and corporate information collection components.

“As physical security devices become more integral in the overall security infrastructure, customers are looking for efficient means to administer Guard Station monitoring,” said Andy Lowen, National Product Marketing, Access Control Products Group at Checkpoint Systems, Inc. “Integrated Mapping further strengthens the benefits of Pinnacle as the premier access control solution providing an additional option for device and alarm event management.”

Design features of the Integrated Mapping functionality include:

  • Native to Pinnacle’s code as a licensed option with single-click launch capability (not a 3rd party add-on)
  • Design and view modes
  • Direct tie to Pinnacle’s device tree
  • Integrated with Pinnacle’s user permissions and database schemes
  • Variable icon sizing
  • Icon animation scripting
  • AutoCAD and bitmap import support

Mapping is essentially defined as the act of determining what pieces of information in a company's database should be placed into each data element of an electronic data interchange. Graphical mapping simply brings messaging to a Guard Station via devices placed on a floor plan layout.

Pinnacle v4.0 and the company’s 32-bit LANLink™ Controller line including the AC-1200 and LANLink series accommodate a wide range of access control applications, supporting the unique needs of corporate campuses, schools and universities, health care facilities, government offices, industrial locations and multi-tenant environments.
