Panasonic Showcases New i-Pro Series IP Cameras

Orlando, FL -- Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA), is displaying the latest additions to the company’s extensive line of IP cameras. The new WV-NP1004 Mega Pixel and WV-NP244 Network Cameras are being marketed under the company’s i-Pro Series umbrella of IP solutions.

“Network cameras are playing an increasingly prominent role in more advanced systems configurations as a result of their versatility and ease of deployment,” said Steve Surfaro, Senior Manager of the Enterprise Project Group, Panasonic Security Systems. “The new WV-NP1004 Mega Pixel and WV-NP244 Network Cameras deliver all the outstanding performance associated with Panasonic camera systems with a complement of network features security professionals need for today’s evolving systems.”

The new WV-NP1004 delivers sharp image clarity as a result of the unit’s 1.3 mega pixel, 4VGA (1280 x 960) digital output that produces an analog equivalent of 600 TVL. The unit also offers dual MPEG4 and JPEG outputs for simultaneous live monitoring and high resolution recording/alarm monitoring. Additional performance features include: an on-board SD memory slot; Auto Back Focus; and the ability to be controlled via Panasonic’s WJ-ND300 Network Disk Recorder.

Panasonic’s new WV-NP244 Network Camera is designed for general system applications. The unit features selectable MPEG4 or JPEG output at 30fps with a 1/3-inch progressive scan, RGB CCD to deliver smooth images with excellent color reproduction. Additional features include one way audio, power over the Ethernet (802.3af); field loadable multi-language capability; an SD memory slot; and control via Panasonic’s WJ-ND300 NDR.

The WV-NP1004 and WV-NP244 Network Cameras join Panasonic’s new WJ-ND300 NDR and X-Protect Series Network Recording Software as part of the company’s newly branded i-Pro Series of IP products. Additional i-Pro Series IP devices include Panasonic’s WV-NS324, WV-NP472, WV-NW474S, WV-NM100 Network Cameras; GX Series Coder/Decoders and WV-AS65 NDR/DVR Management Software.
