Darnell Washington wins 'Technology Innovation' award at 2011 Spirit of Endeavor Awards

ATLANTA – Darnell Washington won the “Technology Innovation” award at the ninth annual Spirit of Endeavor Awards hosted by TechAmerica Georgia and the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). The Spirit of Endeavor Awards recognize and celebrate innovative technology companies and individuals in Georgia that drive new ideas, invigorate the community and lead people through technology.

Washington was selected as a winner in the "Technology Innovation" category because of his successful productization of a next generation application known as TelePort Vision, which provides strong multi- factor authentication and encryption to video security systems used by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, law enforcement and public safety applications.

"Darnell is a great example of the types of Georgia innovators behind some of the most game-changing technology developments in the U.S. today," said Tino Mantella, president and CEO for the Technology Association of Georgia and TechAmerica Georgia. All winners and finalists of the 2011 Spirit of Endeavor Awards were recognized at a special ceremony on December 9, 2011 at the Twelve Hotel, Atlantic Station in Atlanta.
