Durable polycarbonate cases feature two different designs based on usage

Safety Technology International of Waterford, Mich., and Birmingham, England, has introduced a new protective case for horns and speaker units and for strobe-only alarms. The Horn/Strobe Damage Stoppers are designed to protect these apparatuses from vandalism and accidental damage.

Molded from clear, thick, UV-stabilized polycarbonate plastics, the Damage Stoppers feature a lifetime guarantee against breakage in normal use and are UL-listed. The covers open for easy access, and the material is tested for use between 40 and 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

The cases are slotted for horn or speaker units (STI-1210A-E), while the strobe-only units feature a solid front (STI-1221A-E). Sound and light losses will occur, from 22 to 47 percent depending on strobe, and with an audible loss of 6.2 decibels.
