Company' V-smart fingerprint readers to be implemented for access control

Bioscrypt Inc., a leading provider of identity verification technology, today announced that Bioscrypt's V-Smart biometric access control fingerprint readers are being deployed at Dubai International Airport in order to strengthen physical access control.

Adoption of biometrics by the airport industry knows no geographic bounds. Over time, we believe that every airport will use biometric verification technology to secure restricted areas and protect their property. Installations at airports around the world prove that Bioscrypt's products are ideal for this purpose.

According to projections, 60 million passengers are expected to use Dubai International Airport by 2010. With these figures in mind, the Department of Civil Aviation in Dubai began a 2nd phase of expansion costing US$ 4.1bn in the first quarter of 2002. The expansion is scheduled for completion by 2006.

"As we continue to expand, we recognize the need to install leading edge technology to secure the facility," stated Mr. Jamal Al Hai, Dubai International Airport. "We work very hard to provide a very high standard of service to all our customers and believe that feeling secure is an important part of that service."

"We are pleased to be providing the biometric access control component to Dubai International Airport's security solution," said Robert Williams, President and CEO, Bioscrypt. "The airport industry continues to show tremendous potential for future growth. Our confidence that we will continue to be significant players in that space remains very high."
