Visitor management system for front lobby usage selected for ease of use, applicability, performance by Buildings magazine

Buildings magazine has named the Avery Photo ID System as one of its Top 100 Product Picks of 2004. The annual awards recognize the year's most innovative products as determined by the magazine's editorial team.

The Avery Photo ID System is an easy to use visitor management system for registering and tracking visitors. The system allows front lobby personnel to register visitors quickly and efficiently, produce high-quality color photo identification badges, keep a digital record of all facility visitors and maintain a more professional entrance or lobby. Organizations that use paper visitor log books can easily upgrade to this color identification and digital record-keeping system.

"Our editorial staff and facilities professionals reviewed thousands of products and selected an elite group - 100 - based on a number of factors, including performance characteristics, solutions applicability, uniqueness, and reader interest," said Buildings Editorial Director Linda Monroe. "Avery Photo ID Systems fit the criteria," she said, and will be featured in the December issue with the other Top Product Picks.

"We were very pleased to hear that the Avery Photo ID System has been selected by Buildings magazine as one of its Editor's Choice Top Product Picks of 2004," says Nita Patel, Group Product Manager for the Avery Photo ID System. "The award caps a great year in which we significantly expanded our range of ID badge supplies and accessories, introduced a new version of our software and announced new business alliances that support the Avery Photo ID product platform."

Avery Dennison offers a wide range of Photo ID badge supplies and accessories including self-adhesive badges, card stock badges and holders, and self-laminated badges for use with standard ink jet or laser printers.

In 2004, three new products were introduced to enhance the line: Photo ID Self-Expiring Badge Labels, Photo ID Fold & Clip Badges, and Photo ID Thermal Badges for the Avery Personal Label Printer.

Avery Photo ID Software works with most MicrosoftR Windows-based PCs and desktop ink jet and laser printers, and has a suggested retail price of $375. A complete System Kit that provides everything an organization needs to quickly and easily start creating an electronic visitor management system, including Avery Photo ID software 2.0, Web camera, barcode scanner and USB hub is available for a suggested retail price of $995.

In addition to offering Avery Photo ID Software to print Avery Photo ID Badges, Avery Photo ID Badge Templates are now included in many of the leading software products in the security industry. These software products are from companies that produce electronic visitor management and electronic access control systems.
