PSA Security Network has selected CoVi Technologies, Inc., the manufacturer of high definition Multi-View surveillance cameras, as its newest vendor partner.

PSA Security Network, the world's largest electronic security cooperative, has selected CoVi Technologies, Inc., the manufacturer of high definition Multi-View(TM) surveillance cameras, as its newest vendor partner.

CoVi Technologies' EVQ-100, which won the Security Industry Association's New Product Showcase Award at ISC West 2004, utilizes a progressive scan High Definition sensor to capture details traditional cameras miss. The EVQ-1000 can easily be installed within existing or new security environments, while the unique MultiView feature allows the camera to emulate up to four cameras from a single source image. The main NTSC or PAL output provides a widescreen image plus up to three additional ZUP(TM) (Zoom Under Picture) images, which may be targeted at three specific areas of interest within the widescreen source image.

Electronic PTZ functionality emulates traditional pan-tilt and zoom functions entirely within the camera, providing significant cost savings. Electronic PTZ provides smooth pan and tilt within the area of the widescreen high definition source image, and features up to 4X zoom with no apparent loss of output resolution.

"PSA is very selective when choosing vendor partners. We selected CoVi as a vendor because the company has developed an innovative surveillance camera that provides a higher level of coverage at an affordable price," explained Bill Bozeman, CPP, PSA President and CEO. "Our member companies will benefit by being able to offer this breakthrough product to their customers"

"Our EVQ-100 provides the type of image clarity that makes positive identification and detailed transaction capture possible," said Barry Walker, President and CEO of CoVi Technologies. "Higher resolution is the number one challenge facing the video surveillance industry and CoVi has significantly raised the bar with our new video surveillance solution."

Several criteria must be met in order to become an approved vendor of PSA. Among other things, the manufacturer must provide innovative solutions along with quality customer service and technical support.
