DVR Utility software services up to 4,000 casino DVRs

Sanyo Security Products, a Division of Sanyo Fisher Company, a leading provider of network based utilities for security applications, announces the release of VA-SW814, the newest version of software allowing the connection of up to 4000 DSR-M800 Series DVRs and up to 16 PCs in a single closed LAN system. The software meets the growing need for larger casino DVR systems. The software will be demonstrated in Booth #3024 at the ASIS Expo in Dallas, September 27-29, 2004.

Applications for the software include large retail outlets, multi-branch banks, and casinos. As systems grow larger it is important to maintain control over the different hardware components. The VA-SW814 allows for remote control and video/audio monitoring through Ethernet of up to 4000 DSR-M800 Series units.

"This new software from Sanyo provides security personnel with enhanced features for centralized management and remote control in an easy to use system," said Raul Calderon, Sanyo's National Product Development Manager. "In addition, up to 32 users with different ID names can have access to the system."

Key new features include the ability to zoom up to 6x on a single screen and up to 12x on the quad screen for better identification. Full screen Video display, single, quad pictures, or multi-monitors are available for viewing options. The new release also adds recording, retrieval, playback, and live surveillance on up to 16 PCs. Video clips can be downloaded and played back on the PCs.

The quad screen allows control of up to 16 different channels when using the DSR-M814. The VA-SW814 enables the user to have control over playback, cue review (7.5x, 15x, 30x, or 180x), still view, slow motion (1/2, 1/4, or 1/8), frame advance and record and timer recording. Complete system security involves up to 32 ID-password combinations, with regulating operational limits. In addition, the software features a function that allows instant JPEG transfer and verifies the original data by detecting any alteration to recorded images.

Easy search functions include search by time/date, alarm thumbnail list or alarm event list.
