Siemens Appoints New Head of Security Systems in U.S.

George West fills position of Alan Calegari, who left in October

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. - Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., has appointed George West to Senior Vice President and Division Head of its Security Systems business. West replaces Alan Calegari who left the company in October of this year.

As head of the Security Systems division, West will be responsible for directing the growth and market strategies of the company’s security solutions and services business in the U.S., as well as strengthening its position as the industry’s leading systems integrator.

West brings to his new position more than 20 years of successful leadership in the sales of building technology solutions and services, including more than 11 years with Siemens. He most recently managed the company’s New England district, significantly growing its building automation, fire safety and security systems businesses across the district’s three branch offices. Prior to joining Siemens, West spent ten years at Johnson Controls, Inc., in sales and marketing management.

West earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
