CORTE MADERA, Calif., Dec. 5, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Smart-tek Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:STTK) announced today that its operating subsidiary Smart-tek Communications Inc. ("SCI"), has launched their Airborne Systems and Wireless Communications Division as part of its growth and diversification strategy.
The Company has acquired a FLIR camera system, a Night Sun search light and a wireless microwave downlink system that can be used on various helicopters.
"In our continued effort to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, we identified that there was a large demand for such services with very few companies offering them," said Perry Law, President of SCI.
"We have been contracted by the City of Vancouver, to provide our equipment in the event of a natural disaster that would require the use of advanced search and rescue technology. We have also entered into a lease agreement with a Canadian commercial television operator for use of our equipment as part of their news coverage efforts," said Perry Law.
The equipment can also be used as part of a comprehensive security surveillance plan during a high profile, high risk event such as a World Trade Organization meeting or a visit by a high profile dignitary.
