Purchase means transfer of customers and of some monitoring facilities and equipment

VOXCOM Security Systems announced it has purchased the operations of Stealth Alarm Systems Inc. in Alberta. Under the agreement, VOXCOM becomes responsible for Stealth Alarm Systems Alberta customer accounts and some alarm-monitoring equipment and facilities. The agreement adds approximately 16,000 new customers to VOXCOM's existing customer base.

"This is a positive arrangement for all concerned," said Brad Sparrow, VOXCOM President and Chief Executive Officer. "Protection of Stealth Alarm Systems customers will be uninterrupted as VOXCOM takes over their alarm monitoring services and VOXCOM increases its Calgary share of the Alberta market. That's going to enable us to further leverage our existing operations and our Authorized Dealer network here."

Brad Morrison of Stealth Alarm Systems said, "VOXCOM is a highly respected Alberta based company and will do an excellent job protecting Stealth's customers."

VOXCOM is in the process of communicating about the changeover with all its new customers by telephone and mail, and is carrying out onsite visits and equipment inspections as necessary.

VOXCOM sells affordable home and business security systems. The company provides monitoring services for both security and medical alert systems to households and businesses. It has established an extensive network of authorized dealers across Canada and strategic marketing alliances with insurance, utility and communications companies, as well as retail stores.
