SIW Launches Discussion Forums

Dec. 28, 2004
Open forums are designed for exchange of information among industry professionals

SecurityInfoWatch.com is happy to announce that it has added a Forums area to the site, with the hopes that these forums will facilitate discussion between industry professionals.

The Forums area features both The Security Forum, designed for general discussions of security topics and security best practices, and The Technical Forum, which has been created to be a place for discussions about security equipment, products, system design and other technology.

All industry professionals are invited to post in the forums. Users can post anonymously by creating unique usernames and will be able to follow up to previous threads and search by topic. So whether you're debating the effectiveness of arming guards, asking for recommendations on monitoring software, or just trying to figure out how enable web-based connectivity to a new DVR, the SIW Forums will be the place you can go.

As editor of SecurityInfoWatch.com, I encourage all site users to post a few of the questions, ideas or thoughts that have been nagging you, and with a little bit of dedication, we'll have created a place where security directors, alarm system dealers, integrators, manufacturers, installers and officers can meet to discuss the products, trends and issues that affect our industry.

We make just one caveat: As moderators of the forum, we ask that you refrain from posts that have an obscene, commercial (advertising) or antagonistic nature. Feel free to contact us if you see a post that you think is inappropriate.
