Upcoming Webinar from SIW: Improving School Security

June 7, 2005
Former security chief of D.C. public schools to discuss school security and networking of security and communications systems

On Thursday, June 23, at 12 noon EST, SecurityInfoWatch.com will be hosting a webinar discussing how we can better secure schools. The title of the webinar is "Safer Campus: Integrating Security with Communications to Better Protect Schools." The webinar is co-presented by Marconi and ADT Security Services.

The webinar will focus on the real threats that K-20 campuses are facing, and will also look at how administrators and security officials can deploy network-based security systems to prevent incidents from occurring, improve situational awareness, and coordinate a rapid response with law enforcement authorities.

It will feature ADT school security expert Patrick Fiel. Fiel is the former security chief for the Washington, D.C., public schools, and is the former security advisor to the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.

Joining Fiel in this live web-based discussion will be Shane McLelland, the director of security and surveillance for network services, design and integration company Marconi.

This webinar, like previous webinars hosted by SecurityInfoWatch.com, is free to attend, and requires only standard PC technology. As always, attendees will have the chance to submit questions to the panelists during this roughly one-hour, live presentation.
