Company's contract is to provide armed security services to FEMA's National Emergency Training Center

Alexandria, Va. -- ARES, a security solutions provider for the federal government, has been awarded a contract with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The contract is to provide armed guard security services to FEMA's National Emergency Training Center (NETC) located in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

NETC is home to two training schools, the National Fire Academy (NFA) and the Emergency Management Institute (EMI). To ensure that NETC's mission is not disrupted, ARES provides 24X7 security services for the entire NETC campus.

"Providing high quality security to FEMA's NETC is just an expansion of our work for the Department of Homeland Security," said Stanley Jones, Jr., Vice President of Operations. "In addition, this contract is more than simply providing security officers. We provide a range of personnel performing various security-related tasks. Though we recently started this contract, the employees and government staff have immediately noticed an increased level of employee morale, professionalism and training," added Jones.

For this contract, ARES provides administrative personnel, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), badging personnel, alarm monitors, 911 center dispatchers and armed security officers. Their daily duties entail protective security, access control, communications, monitoring fire detection & intrusion systems, X-ray equipment operation, ID control, key control and emergency support.
