Orlando, FL -- Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA), is displaying the new WJ-ND300 Network Disk Recorder designed specifically for IP-based systems operating on a LAN/WAN. The WJ-ND300 offers high speed throughput along with scalable operation and numerous system features plus the ability to record cameras other than Panasonic models for advanced network system applications. The unit complements Panasonic’s continually expanding line of IP-based solutions marketed under the new i-Pro Series line of products.

“Our new i-Pro Series WJ-ND300 Network Disk Recorder offers a higher level of digital recording performance for systems configured specifically for use in an IP-based LAN/WAN environment,” said Steve Surfaro, Senior Manager of the Enterprise Project Group, Panasonic Security Systems. “The unit is designed with fast throughput to provide systems designers with the performance attributes and versatility they need when configuring systems with multiple control and recording points along the network.”

The WJ-ND300 Network Disk Recorder is engineered for ease of installation with auto IP detection and set-up. Performance features include: high performance transmission rate of 64Mbps; a refresh rate of 960ips @32 cameras (MPEG4); multi-format recording (JPEG/MJPEG/MPEG4); data stream control between live and recorded images; up to four optional hard drives can be installed on-board the unit with the addition of an optional external RAID 5 and/or expansion modules capable of housing up to 28 hard drives for extended recording and archiving applications; extensive management control capabilities; and dispersed configurations when configured with Panasonic’s WV-AS65 Management Software which provides comprehensive control of up to 100 Panasonic WJ-HD300A DVRs and PTZ cameras.

In support of Panasonic’s recently launched “open infrastructure” initiative, the WJ-ND300 is designed to accept cameras other than Panasonic models for versatile systems applications and implementation into existing networks.

The WJ-ND300 NDR joins Panasonic’s new WV-NP1004 and WV-NP244 Network Cameras and X-Protect Series Network Recording Software as part of the company’s newly branded i-Pro Series of IP products. Additional i-Pro Series IP devices include Panasonic’s WV-NS324, WV-NP472, WV-NW474S, WV-NM100 Network Cameras; GX Series Encoder/Decoders and WV-AS65 NDR/DVR Management Software.
