Company lands recognition in video surveillance marketplace for its new Crystal HD system

ORLANDO, Fla. -- CoVi Technologies, Inc., the world's leading provider of high definition video surveillance solutions, today announced at the ASIS International 2005 security conference, it has received the prestigious 2005 Technology Innovation Award in Video Surveillance Technologies from analyst firm Frost & Sullivan. The award is detailed in Frost & Sullivan's recent analysis, Advances in Recording and Data Processing for Video Surveillance, August 2005.

Recognizing CoVi's innovative video surveillance technologies, the award in particular lauds the CoVi Crystal HD(TM), a new class of video surveillance system. Through the unique use of High Definition (HD) video, combined with distributed storage and transport over IP networks, Crystal HD delivers unparalleled surveillance quality critical to organizations and environments today.

Designed from its inception as a complete HD video surveillance system, Crystal HD is the first and only system to deliver both live and recordable HD video, enabling capture, archive and output of evidentiary-quality information necessary for forensics and prosecution.

According to Frost & Sullivan, through the Crystal HD system CoVi offers greater security for customers' assets and higher productivity at a competitive price. Crystal HD is the world's first HD-over-IP video surveillance solution and was designed from its inception as a unified system.

"By embracing and encompassing the capabilities of high capacity media archives, network cameras, and personal computer-based video monitoring surveillance solutions, CoVi's Crystal HD system delivers exceptional client value, outperforming existing systems," says Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Haritha Ramachandran. "The solution addresses three key issues namely, the need to capture high-quality video images, efficient and practical storage/delivery of the captured images, and finally, data processing-cum- management of surveillance data."

CoVi has delivered several HD solutions for video surveillance, for both analog and digital deployments, that radically improve the manageability, ease of use and scalability of video surveillance systems.

"CoVi is honored to receive the prestigious Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award," stated Barry Walker, CEO, CoVi Technologies, Inc. "Through this award Frost & Sullivan has recognized the value of innovation to deliver truly useful customer solutions. With security of paramount concern to customers across the globe, CoVi is able to deliver the quality of video surveillance necessary to protect people and critical assets."

"Furthermore," continued Walker, "our innovation is focused on delivering quality video surveillance end-to-end: clear, crisp video images so customers no longer have to accept indecipherable images; accessibility to the information for the people who need it, when they need it, and the ability to manage and deliver evidentiary-quality information. We've set a new standard in video surveillance."

Each year, the Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award is given to the company that has carried out new research resulting in innovations that bring significant contributions to the industry in terms of adoption, change and competitive posture. It commends the quality and depth of the company's research and development as well as the vision and risk taking that enables it to undertake such an endeavor. By utilizing these strategies for success, CoVi is recognized as the leading developer and provider of high definition video surveillance solutions.
