HID Appoints Tom Thomasson Vertical Market Manager to Support VertX CS

HID increases VertX CS resources to directly support security dealers in the central station market

IRVINE, Calif., April 6, 2005 - HID, the premier manufacturer of contactless access control cards and readers for the security industry, today announced the appointment of Tom Thomasson to Manager, North America for VertX CS access controller product family. Mr. Thomasson will work with development partners including Bold Technologies, DICE Corporation, GE MAS and OZ Vision who have built central station operators' GUI interfaces that display and enable remote management of both intrusion and VertX CS managed access controller activities. In addition, he will directly support North American central station-based security dealers seeking to expand their client base into managed access control products and will assist these dealers in development of market tactics that enable recurring monthly revenue programs.

Mr. Thomasson most recently worked for GE Security as national sales manager for mid-market access control products. His fifteen years of commercial security and access control systems experience also includes leadership positions with Kastle Systems and Honeywell Security & Custom Electronics.

Mr. Thomasson attended San Francisco State University and has received numerous certificates from the University of Michigan's Executive Education Center and is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified in DMAIC process management.
