Eric Fullerton, VP Americas for Milestone, establishes company in U.S. from Oregon offices

Milestone Systems A/S, a global developer of IP video surveillance software, announces the establishment of Milestone Systems Inc. in the USA. Eric Fullerton, VP Americas for Milestone since last year, is managing the company from its office in Oregon.

Demand for IP video surveillance solutions is growing fast, with projections for annual growth in this part of the security industry ranging anywhere from 12-30% over the next 3-5 years. In the USA particularly, the establishment of Homeland Security has heightened awareness and support for shoring up security nationwide. Simultaneously in focus is the convergence of IT technology with the traditional security market to provide the benefits of networked solutions - where Milestone stands out at the head of the pack.

"The timing is right for incorporation of Milestone Systems Inc., which signals our company's strong commitment to the American market in response to the increasing demand for our IP surveillance solutions," states Lars Thinggaard, CEO at Milestone Systems. "After Eric Fullerton came on board last year, the number of partners doubled very quickly, helping to make our software more accessible to American customers."

Fullerton reports: "I am concentrating on building up the Milestone partner channel, including extensive training and certification sessions that help differentiate our Value-Adding Resellers and ensure higher quality implementations for customers who want the best return on their security investments."

Milestone Systems has headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark, and was founded in the 1990s as one of the first companies to develop pure IP-based video surveillance software. Today Milestone solutions are installed in more than 8,300 customer sites, robust and proven in operation with 87,000 cameras worldwide. Milestone software is sold through an authorized channel of more than 150 resellers and systems integrators in 52 countries.
