ATC International will design, build custom security system in residence of country's minister

MIAMI -- ATC International Holdings, Inc., one of the nation's top 50 security system integrators, has been awarded a contract in conjunction with ITF Group Consulting to design and install a custom-made security system for a compound residence being built for Equatorial Guinea Minister Theodoro Obiang Nguema. The residence is located in Bata, Central Africa.

ATC will create the system with a variety of state-of-the-art security technologies including video IQ, which detects any human activity within camera range. A combination of GE Security camera systems will monitor buildings throughout the compound and Radio Frequency Identification access control will be used to keep track of personnel and vehicles.

"This system is on a par with ones now being used by the U.S. government to protect high-security, Level Four facilities," noted Marcus Moreno, an ATC International account executive. "Each worker, vendor and visitor will be assigned a card which will have programmed points of authorized access to designated locations within the compound."

According to ITF Group spokesman Serge Pereira, the government of Equatorial Guinea has put the project on a high priority schedule. "After the Nguema residence, they are planning to implement upgraded security systems at other important government complexes," Pereira reported.
