Security industry professionals gather for relaxation, networking, idea exchange

Bay City, Michigan - The DICE Users Group gathered in Bay City, Michigan this week for its second annual users conference at the Bay Valley Hotel & Resort.

The three-day conference included discussions about new software technologies, a vendor exhibition of products and services integrated with DICE software, and an evening of fun and relaxation dockside on the Saginaw River.

The conference, provided by DICE and sponsoring vendors at no cost to attendees, gave users the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and build relationships with DICE staff members. Users formed more than ten sub-committees to develop ideas for new areas of integration into DICE, like voice recording, document imaging, and electronic ordering through popular vendors like ADI.

"The team work displayed by the customers in attendance and the DICE staff was tremendous. We are clearly on our way to ensure that the DICE products and services are the best in the industry," said Mike Simpson, CFO of Per Mar Security Services and chairman of the DICE Users Group. "We had two new members that were formerly with other automation software companies tell us this was by far the best users' conference they had ever attended, primarily because there is so much interaction between the customers and DICE staff."

"I feel like we are all members of the board and have a stake in this software," said Thom Bergmann from Security Equipment, Inc (SEI), who recently converted to DICE automation from Bold Technologies. "This is day 40 on DICE software for us, and I feel fortunate to be involved with such a great organization."

The first annual users conference held in 2004 yielded over 200 enhancements to DICE's Automation software, made at no charge to DICE clients.
