GVI Security Solutions, Inc., a provider of integrated homeland security enterprise solutions including a complete line of CCTV, digital video recording, access control, rapid access portals, video IT-based networking, and perimeter control systems that enhance life safety for government agencies and the private sector, announced that it has been awarded a $7.5 million dollar contract to provide video surveillance equipment for a major U.S. retailer's external perimeter loss control program. This contract will run from March 1, 2005 through February, 2006.

Howard Safir, Chairman of GVI Security Solutions, Inc., commented, "We are extremely pleased to be able to meet the stringent external loss control program requirements of this demanding customer. This contract also illustrates the growing convergence between Homeland Security Enterprise solutions and advanced loss control programs." Former NYPD Commissioner Safir continued, "The same solutions that can detect a person behaving suspiciously with a bulge around their midsection caused by stolen goods stuffed under their shirt, can also detect a suicide bomber behaving suspiciously with a bulge caused by several pounds of explosives."

Wade Thomas, Co-President of GVI Security Inc., the operating subsidiary of GVI Security Solutions Inc., said, "Providing a full range of security solutions for everything from retail loss prevention to high security military installations allows us to leverage our efforts across a broad range of customers creating valuable synergies between the commercial, corporate, military and government markets."
