Showing more signs of the integration wave that is pushing across the electronics industry, DVTel Inc., maker of video management systems, has announced that its Latitude Network Video Management System will link directly and seamlessly with the new generation of Axis network cameras and video servers.
According to DVTel president and CEO Eli Gorovici, the end result is more freedom for systems integrators and dealer/installers.
"Our software platform enables the freedom of hardware choice, information and data inputs, integration potential, and overall peace of mind in terms of sound investment and system performance," said Gorvici.
According to a company news release, this partnership may lead to more company-to-company affiliations within the market.
"Our new relationship with DVTel is perfectly in line with our strategy to create alliances with companies that have a strong presence in the enterprise market," said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager for Axis Communications. "According to J.P. Freeman, by 2008 more than 50 precent of all surveillance cameras will be network cameras. DVTel is one of the few companies with a primary focus on IP solutions. I am confident this relationship will strengthen both of our offerings."
