Companies to cross-market in U.S. and Latin America

MIAMI -- Miami-based ATC International, an innovative leader in the technology integration industry focusing on voice, data, and security systems integration, has signed a partnership agreement with Boca-Raton-based Vanguard Systems International (VSI), which provides sales, marketing and business development consulting for world leading companies specializing in biometrics identity management, location based services, interactive kiosk systems, RFID (radio frequency identification) animal identification and mobile security solutions. The agreement allows ATC to expand its product portfolio and grow in Latin America and VSI to expand its US market share.

"This is an exciting opportunity for ATC to increase our presence in Latin America," said Chris Cavallo, president of ATC. "We already have a Central American base in El Salvador and are planning a Latin American base in Colombia. This new partnership with VSI will help us expand our reach throughout the region."

"VSI is a premier solutions architect of advanced technology products, and we're pleased to combine with ATC's infrastructure, engineering and sales teams," said Guillermo Gomez, president and founder of VSI. "This partnership lets VSI expand our capabilities and presence in the US."

ATC International is a leader in deploying a variety of security systems and technologies, such as intelligent video solutions, wireless video and data, biometric technologies, including facial recognition systems, iris/retina scans, and various hand and fingerprint identification technologies. ATC International has 75 employees and subcontractors in its corporate headquarters in Miami; 27 employees in its Central American operations base in El Salvador; and 12 employees in Rome, Italy, the gateway office for Europe. Additional offices to be opened this year include Washington DC; Mexico City, Mexico; and a Latin American center in Colombia.

Vanguard Systems International is a consulting and solutions architects group that specializes in fostering the global expansion of technology innovations. By partnering with forward-thinking technology companies and subject matter experts, VSI brings together world leaders in the biometrics identity management, location-based services, interactive kiosks systems, RFID animal identification and mobile security fields in a collaborative program to bring world-class solutions to solve its clients' technology needs.

ATC continues its Florida expansion with recent projects such as the installation of closed circuit television (CCTV), access control and intercom systems throughout Uptown Marina Lofts in Aventura, Florida; beginning the planning phase for premise-wide wi-fi applications, RFID asset vehicle tracking, billing system technologies, security, and touch screen electronic concierge systems at the new Reunion neighborhood in Orlando, Florida; and designing and installing a high-end video surveillance system at The Colonnade, a new open air shopping plaza in Sunrise, Florida.

VSI has successfully implemented a fingerprint solution at ETB, one of the largest telecommunications carriers in Latin America, to provide convenience and secure access to its employees when they log in to their corporate information portal, and a fingerprint identification solution at MBHS (Mississippi Baptist Health Systems) integrating fingerprint biometrics into the hospital web-based Physician Portal, used by doctors to access all hospital electronic records. The implementation of fingerprint biometrics helped the hospital system comply with standards set forth by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

VSI has also recently awarded a nationwide biometrics implementation project with a large financial institution in Latin America, where fingerprint biometrics will play a major role as a strong authentication method to be used by more than a million bank customers when doing transactions at 600 tellers, 300 ATMs and 500 POS.
