LENOIR CITY, TN May 30, 2012 – Yale Locks & Hardware, an ASSA ABLOY Group company and a world leader in door hardware for commercial and residential applications, has announced that its Yale Real Living portfolio of access control and home security solutions will now be integrated into Honeywell’s new 6280i Tuxedo Touch Center. With the Yale Real Living integration, the entire Honeywell home control system can be controlled at the user’s point-of-home entry: from the lock.

The Yale Real Living access control solution is the first lock specifically designed to seamlessly integrate into the digital home. With its one-touch residential access control of the home’s entryways and protected interior doors, even remotely via Internet, the Yale Real Living Intelligent Lock works with a variety of home automation systems, now including the Honeywell system.

Honeywell’s 6280i Tuxedo Touch touchscreen communicates with Z-Wave protocol-enabled locks, lighting systems, thermostats and security. Additionally, a built-in web server allows homeowners greater convenience by accessing and controlling the device using laptops, PCs, smartphones and mobile tablets without an app.

According to Jason Williams, “Honeywell’s 6280i Tuxedo TouchCenter is a beautifully designed, extremely intuitive system that brings ease-of-use, comfort and safety to digital home control. We’re excited that Honeywell has selected our Yale Real Living access control solution to play a central role in their product.”
