Hauppauge, NY, June 5, 2012: Vicon Industries Inc., a leading designer and producer of network video management systems, today announces the promotion of Bret McGowan to Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing. Bret joined Vicon over 20 years ago as a marketing analyst and has since held many positions, most recently Vice President, Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Bret will continue to oversee all sales and marketing activities for the Americas, the Far East and Western Africa. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University.
Bret’s promotion was announced by Ken Darby, Vicon’s CEO, who stated, “Bret’s knowledge of the security industry, technology trends, Vicon’s market position and customer relationships position him to lead the Company toward further success.”
