Achievement recognizes center's service, technology and processes

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – TYCO Global Accounts, the leading global provider of integrated security technologies and services, announced today that the TYCO Global Center of Excellence (GCOE) has received ISO 9001:2008 certification, a global standard that recognizes effective and efficient quality management systems. The GCOE, which provides pre- and post-sale support to select TYCO Global customers, is the first such program in the security industry to successfully achieve theprestigious designation.

The ISO 9001:2008 standard provides the GCOE with a proven framework for systematically managing its processes to ensure it consistently delivers products that exceed customer expectations. As the first worldwide engineering, application and program management center within Tyco to secure ISO certification, the Center's clients will now benefit from an increasingly efficient and cost-effective organization, as well as procedures that assure quality similar to their own ISO-certified organizations.
“While we have always prided ourselves on providing exceptional quality in services and technology integration, this certification validates our outstanding level of commitment to our customers,” said Daryl Haga, Director, TYCO GCOE. “We are a global organization with a centralized team that speaks 14 different languages and addresses various regional markets, so the certification process required significant effort and coordination. The Center was established in 2009, so this certification is even more note-worthy considering our young age. I am extremely proud of the commitment demonstrated by our team.”

The ISO certification will also help TYCO streamline and improve its processes at its other Centers of Excellence around the world.

“Our focus on the continuous improvement of our products and services is paramount in ourendeavor to remain the world leader in the design and installation of integrated security systems for global enterprises,” said Matthias Ernst, Vice President of Global Accounts, TYCO. “As we look to the future, we will implement ISO certification processes at our UK and Germany Centers. Once all locations are approved under the ISO 9001:2008 standard, our processes will be seamless across the world, opening doors to new opportunities to streamline our customer’s business flow and securityoperations.”
