The UL listing means Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) found that representative product samples met UL's safety requirements. These requirements are primarily based on UL's own published standards for safety. UL is a global independent safety science company offering expertise across five key strategic businesses: Product Safety, Environment, Life & Health, Knowledge Services and Verification Services.

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is an independent product safety certification organization. Established in 1894, the company has its headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois.
