Aug. 15, 2012 (DALLAS)—Power Home Technologies recently reached 50,000 customers, a major milestone for the rising security company which installed its first system in 2004 and became a Monitronics authorized dealer in 2011.

"Hitting 50,000 customers is a great achievement for our team,” said Ben Brookhart, Power Home Technologies CEO. “When I started this company eight years ago I had a vision to become one of the top security companies in the U.S. To achieve this goal, I knew the two most important things were to provide customers with the service I would expect with my own home and train people with no industry experience to become ‘PHT Superstars.’”

Last spring, having already installed more than 30,000 accounts under another program’s brand and logo, Power Home Technologies partnered with Monitronics to cultivate their own identity and contract with new, larger vendors.

“We’re very excited to partner with Power Home Technologies, and we congratulate them on this great accomplishment,” said Bruce Mungiguerra, Monitronics Vice President of Sales and Dealer Development. “We look forward to standing side-by-side with them for the next 50,000.”

For becoming Power Home Technologies’ 50,000th customer, Mr. Ronald Patterson received a system upgrade to Alarm.com interactive features – a Monitronics vendor – and also an outdoor Alarm.com camera at no charge.

"We had an old, out-of-date security system and I wanted something new,” Mr. Patterson said. “(Power Home Technologies) offered a lot of technology that we didn't have."

Since 2004, Power Home Technologies has expanded to 16 locations serving New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, California and Colorado.

Brookhart credits the company’s development to his employees’ commitment to training and goal-setting over the last eight years.

“We train people for success better than anyone else in the security business,” Brookhart said. “Our motto is ‘Don't Chase Money, Chase Success.’”
