Companies to highlight new video surveillance, life safety solutions at tradeshow

At this year’s Security show in Essen, Germany, HeiTel Digital Video, a division of Xtralis, will present several new security solutions, including the HeiTel VideoGateway series, new DVRs for mobile applications, and high performance HeiTel IMD passive infrared detectors (PIRs). The products and live demonstrations will be shown at the HeiTel and Xtralis stand 309, located in Hall 2, from 25th to the 28th of September 2012.

Also on display will be Xtralis life safety solutions, including VESDA - the world’s leading brand of very early warning smoke detector; ECO for gas detection; and, OSID for open-area smoke imaging detection. The Xtralis ADPRO portfolio for perimeter, multi-site, and enterprise security will also be displayed.

The new HeiTel VideoGateway series is a logical, consequent development of the established SVR series. The VideoGateways do not only feature a new design, they also offer exceptional image processing performance and an enhanced storage concept. Improved video motion detection differentiates local and global image changes, ensuring a considerably lower false alarm rate. With their resistor-monitored inputs, all systems are fully compliant with both BS8418 and VdS guidelines. The interfaces of the VG series (including VdS 2465) enable intelligent integration in Intrusion Detection Systems manufactured by third parties. With the CamDisc VG 2s and the Cam4mobile VG 2c, HeiTel has also extended its DVR range to include 2-channel devices with integrated hard disk for both static and mobile use. The improved temperature management for mobile systems Cam4mobile VG 4, Cam4mobile VG 10s and Cam4mobile VG 2c also extends the range of possible uses to which HeiTel systems can be put in mobile applications.

The intelligent linking of HeiTel IMD Passive Infrared Motion Detectors with HeiTel VideoGateways does not just lower the number of false alarms (due to the double-knock principle), it also facilitates pro-active security concepts that prevent damage from occurring in the first place. Together with the Xtralis portfolio for reliable early detection of fire, gas and security risks, HeiTel customers will be able to offer and implement more comprehensive security concepts in future.
